Meet Evan Gutman
I’m Evan Gutman, founder of Evitas AI.
After seven years working in point-of-sale & eCommerce, I saw firsthand how many small and medium business leaders felt both intrigued and overwhelmed by new technology. They knew it would be transformative but weren’t sure how to move from curiosity to confident action. The same is happening today, except at an exponentially greater scale, but this time with artificial intelligence. Evitas AI is here to simplify this process for you. What began as a deep personal dive into AI turned into a professional mission. While I explored the technical aspects of AI, my real focus was always on its business applications – how to make organizations faster, leaner, and more competitive. That journey led to official certifications as an AI Consultant, AI Implementation Expert, and AI Data Expert, equipping me to translate the complexity of AI into practical, accessible strategies. The name Evitas comes from the Latin word aevitas, meaning “era” or “age.” It reflects my mission: guiding ambitious business owners into the AI age with clarity and confidence. Over the years, I’ve served hundreds of SMB leaders while working at companies like Shopify and Lightspeed, helping them solve complex challenges, adopt new technology, and lead their markets. At Shopify, I partnered with national brands to roll out new technology systems. At Lightspeed, I helped drive adoption of payment processing from 30% to nearly 60%, generating over millions in revenue and changing the way retail merchants did business. Along the way, I also trained and mentored new hires, honing my ability to coach and guide teams through growth. My background in the Canadian Armed Forces shaped me as well – discipline, adaptability, and leadership under pressure remain core to how I work today.
